I had to go to North Sydney today. Little did I know that I would be subjected to the torture of having to see lots of school kids who have to wear really revolting school uniforms. The leaders of the school that is responsible should be shot….
I know that private schools get a lot of money from the taxpayer. As a former taxpayer, I think these private schools have a certain amount of responsibility to ensure that they are reciprocating by ensuring that their activities are not harming society. I think it is time for the school that is responsible for ugly school uniforms in North Sydney to get their act together and design a new school uniform: here is the current school uniform…
What on earth is going on with this hat? I suspect that the designers of Qantas uniforms from the 1960s have been involved in the design of this uniform…
I’m sorry, but if private schools are getting taxpayers money, they need to ensure that they do not subject the rest of society to really awful school uniforms. This hat would be perfect for a young guy who aspires to be a spruiker at the front of a Closing Down shop in George Street. Innocent office workers should not be subjected to seeing these awful hats when they are commuting to North Sydney, or while they are trying to have their lunch. I nearly vomited when a group of these school kids lined up to buy their Chiko Rolls and hot chips at the local take away in North Sydney at lunchtime.
This raises another issue – since when have school kids been allowed to leave the school at lunchtime? School is supposed to be like a jail. It all seems wrong to me.
I think there are a number of potential law suits that are on the horizon, given that this school had such a hideous uniform:
(a) members of the public should be able to make a claim for feeling sick and nauseous whenever they see these stupid hats;
(b) the children will be able to sue the school for personal trauma – imagine the implications of having to wear these clothes. It leaves Guantanomo Bay for dead, as they also have to wear the uniform on their way to and from school;
(c) the children should be able to sue their parents for not taking a stand against the school. If these schools can afford to taxpayer funds on new swimming pools, cark parks for 4WDs and poodle minding facilities, surely they can engage some consultants for a few thousand dollars to tell them to ditch the dorky hat!!
